Nothing says summer like baseball season and the Phillies are off to a great start. But what you should know is that the Fightin’ Phils are superstars both ON and OFF the field. Michele DeVicaris, Director of Community and Charity Events with goals are to engage fans from a young age to participate in sports, offer great educational programs, and sponsor fundraisers. Over 91 thousand tickets have been donated to essential workers, military members and others who may not otherwise get to a game. Special tributes are given to Jackie Robinson Day, Black History month, Hispanic and Asian Pacific heritage. Strike out the Stigma supports conversations about mental health. And the Phillies have raised over $20 million for the ALS Association to fight Lou Gehrig’s Disease. For over 24 years, Michele has led the charge, but what really scores a home run in her heart is the Childhood Cancer Awareness program.
