This Sunday, January 16, 2022, as the second part of our three-part series on New Year’s Resolutions, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie will be joined by Simona Rossi, MD and Ryan Healy, MS, LPC from Einstein Healthcare Network for a discussion about cutting back your alcohol intake.
Dry January can provide an opportunity to give your body a rest after eating and drinking too much over the holidays. If you drink in moderate quantities, January is a good time to look at your health in general. But if you drink more than is recommended by CDC guidelines, you should turn in to learn about the possible health hazards of excess alcohol. Especially since people have been consuming more alcohol during the pandemic.
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month and each year, as part of The Blue Lights Campaign, over 25 buildings in Philly and beyond shine in BLUE, urging people to get screened for colorectal cancer.
In May 2021, after years of campaigning, the screening age was finally lowered from age 50 to 45. But the work is not over yet! As director of the Blue Lights Campaign, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie, thanks all those who have joined the fight to conquer colon cancer, and asks you join the campaign this year! Simply hang a strand of blue lights on the front door of your home or business, and send a photo of your lights to us at email@example.com!
We salute these Blue Light Warriors!
