October 10, 2021 – Fatty Liver 

On Sunday, October 10, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie will be joined by Dina Halegoua-DiMarzio, MD, and Heidi Syropoulos, MD for a discussion about Fatty liver, a serious condition that is growing at an alarming rate. 

Dr. Halegoua-DeMarzio (L) is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Director of the Fatty Liver Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Heidi Syropoulos (R) is the Medical Director of Government Markets for Independence Blue Cross.

Fatty liver is now the most common liver disorder in the US and the most common cause for liver transplants. Tune in to learn the latest information on causes and treatment from a nationally recognized liver specialist.  You’ll also hear about “United by Blue”, the Independence Blue Cross program which provides healthy food and household items to those most isolated by the pandemic.
