Your Real Champion®: “Rosie the Riveter” Dr. Marianne T. Ritchie
Rosie the Riveter – one of the most famous icons in American history, was the star of the campaign which urged American women to join the workforce to replace the men who enlisted in the armed services. The famous image didn’t tell the story of ONE woman, but millions of women who joined the war effort. Mae Krier is ONE of those Rosies who has kept the legacy alive and led the effort to declare March 21 as Annual Rosie the Riveter Day and earn the Congressional Medal of Honor for all the Rosies!
Each week, we highlight the Real Champions in your life! Your family, friends, or colleagues who go the extra mile to help others in their community.
