Your Real Champion® – Adapt and Thrive
Andrew Austen is a natural athlete who grew up playing soccer, football, baseball and golf. But sports were a bit more challenging for Andrew than other kids because he was born without his right forearm or hand. His parents never made him feel “different” and he finds strength in his mother’s words, “Struggle is growth.” He takes on one obstacle at a time and believes there’s always a solution. He now plays adaptive golf and makes videos to inspire kids with disabilities and anyone who has “can’t” in their vocabulary. This week, Andrew completed the 100 Hole Hike for Youth on Course sponsored by the Gold Association of Philadelphia. The goal is to provide access to the game of golf to young people and support college scholarships. No surprise…of the 100 holes, Andrew made par on 60 holes! Support Andrew in his mission with Youth on Course. Learn more at http://www.100holehike.org/, gapgolf.org, and youthoncourse.org
