Episode 167 – Skin Lesions in People of Color Dr. Marianne T. Ritchie
Skin Lesions in People of Color – On Saturday, July 29, Dr. Marianne T. Ritchie spoke with Andrew Alexis, MD, MPH about skin lesions in people of color. Common conditions of the skin, hair, and nails vary in appearance in people of color from light skinned people. In addition, people of all colors are at risk for skin cancer, but because they occur less commonly in people of color, there is less emphasis on suspicion of skin cancer and the cancers are more often found at an advanced stage with a lower survival rate.
