Your Real Champion® – “The Joy of Sox”
Tom Costello admits that he had what he called “homeless-phobia”. He was afraid to look at people facing homelessness. His wife challenged him to join her and volunteer at a shelter. When a grateful visitor looked him in the eye and thanked him, they both came to tears and her hug transformed his life. Now he is the Founder and Chief Sock Person at The Joy of Sox Foundation which has distributed over 750,000 pairs of sox… aiming for a goal of a million pairs by this Fall!
Each week, we highlight the Real Champions in your life! Your family, friends, or colleagues who go the extra mile to help others in their community.
