On Saturday, May 21st, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie talked with Jennifer F. Havens, MD about teens and depression.

Dr. Havens is a leading national expert in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, who pioneered the first psychiatric emergency program for children and adolescents in New York state.

When it comes to depression, people think of it as an adult problem, but numbers of cases in children and adolescents have markedly increased in recent years, even before the pandemic. Now add the challenges of COVID including social isolation.
