Your Real Champion for the week of February 28, 2021, was Stephanie Austin!
At age 35, Stephanie’s heart stopped while she slept. A fortuitous phone call awakened her husband who noticed her irregular breathing. His quick reflex to perform CPR gave her a second chance at life, and now she is a passionate advocate, volunteer, and fundraiser for the American Heart Association – sharing the message that everyone should learn CPR.
Each week we highlight the #RealChampions in your life! Your family, friends, or colleagues who go the extra mile to help others in their community.
Marianne T. Ritchie, MD was one of the first female gastroenterologists practicing in the Philadelphia area. An advocate for over 30 years, Dr. Ritchie developed the PINKPLUS triple cancer screening program, and the BLUE LIGHTS CAMPAIGNfor Colon Cancer Awareness.
