Episode 230 – Help Me to Stop Smoking
Most people realize that smoking cigarettes can increase risk for heart and lung disease as well as multiple cancers. Like any other habit, the path to quitting smoking takes time […]

The current growth of the U.S. population including ages 65 and over is unprecedented and is driven by the large baby boom generation, those born between 1946 and 1964. The good news: education levels are increasing, older adults are working longer and a greater number can meet their daily needs. The challenges: more older adults are divorced, live alone, and many have children who no longer live in the same neighborhood. This has led to a sharp increase in demand for in-home elder care. Tricia Wingerter has a wealth of information that will help elderly people maintain their independence in a safe and comfortable environment.
And what about young people with intellectual and physical disabilities? Listen to Audrey Coccia and learn about her 29 years of work to bring support to people with disabilities and their families in the community.
