Dr. Marianne T. Ritchie June 15, 2024

Fidelity Month – In March of last year, a poll by the National Opinion Research Center from The University of Chicago indicated a precipitous decline in Americans’ belief in the importance of values such as patriotism, religion, family and community—the values that used to unite Americans despite our many differences across racial, ethnic and religious lines. Dr. Robert George is a constitutional scholar and an extraordinary intellectual who has declared that June be recognized as “Fidelity Month”—a time when Americans recommit themselves to living these ideals. Rebuilding a cohesive nation will benefit the health and wellbeing of all citizens.

Meet Our Guest: Robert P George, JD, MTS, DPhil, BCL, DCL, and DLitt

McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence

Your Real Champion®: Faith of our Fathers

This year on June 6, we marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day in World War II, the day of the Invasion of Normandy. As a Father’s Day tribute, we share the stories of Dr. Ritchie’s father Frank J. Ritchie and father-in-law Dr. Everett J. Gordon—who embodied the ideals of bravery and patriotism, with commitment to faith and their families—all the values that we discussed in our show and hope to reinforce with Fidelity Month.

Each week, we highlight the Real Champions in your life! Your family, friends, or colleagues who go the extra mile to help others in their community.
